About Joe Hewett

Joe Hewett has 20 years of teaching experience including 12 years as Principal at two very remote schools in the Northern Territory – Nganmarriyanga School and Shepherdson College. Joe has a particular passion for equity in education and the power of education to enable positive change. In his time in very remote schools, he has seen students come to school with exceptional cultural and linguistic knowledge and skills and believes that strengthening the links between school and community opens the door to providing strong two-way education and genuine pathways for our students.

Joe has a Bachelor of Arts and Science and a Master of Education.
