The Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory (the Board) is the main vehicle for driving the quality, professionalism and status of teaching in the Northern Territory. The Board plays a vital role in supporting those that teach to take ownership in growing their knowledge, enhancing their practice, and increasing their participation and standing in the teaching profession.
Teachers are responsible for ensuring they:
- Remain eligible for registration or authorisation;
- Meet the required standards of practice;
- Make the required notifications to the Board; and
- Conduct themselves appropriately and professionally.
