A registration renewal reminder to all teachers with NT registration

Teachers, with the commencement of the new school year, it is imperative you have current registration for 2009.

In October 2008, we posted 3762 Registration Renewal Forms and in early December, we sent out 2086 registration renewal reminders. To date, 2916 teachers have renewed their registration. As always, in this round of registration renewals, there have been a significant number of returns to sender because teachers had not provided the Board with their current contact details.

If you only registered for one year in 2008, then your registration will have expired on 31 December 2008 unless you have renewed. Please check the expiry date on your registration card.

I have misplaced my registration certificate. Can I still check the status of my registration?

Yes. You can check the Online Register. If your name does not come up on the search, then you do not have current registration.

There is a period of grace to 31 January 2009 for teachers whose registration expired 31 December 2008. Download and complete the Registration Renewal Form, and either post, fax or bring into the Office of the Board in person to renew your registration before 31 January 2009.

I have sent in my renewal form, but have not yet received a receipt or a new card. Do I have current registration?

If we have received your renewal form and it was in order (both pages completed in full and payment provided), your registration expiry date on the Online Register will have been updated. Please check in the first instance by searching the Online Register.

Due to the high volume of work involved in registration renewals there has been a delay in issuing new registration cards. Please allow up to six weeks for your payment to be processed and your new card issued. We appreciate your patience. Receipts are issued separately by the Receiver of Territory Monies.

If we received your registration renewal form, but it was incomplete, we will have returned the form to you. You should complete the application form and return to the Board as soon as possible and before 31 January 2009.

I sent off my renewal form, but I am not on the Online Register of teachers?

Please allow five working days for the Board to process your application for registration renewal before your details are updated on the Online Register. If you have taken into account the time it takes to process the application and still cannot find your name on the Online Register, then we have not received your application.
