2013 Payment of Annual Fee 24 Apr 2013
As of the close of business on Friday 12th of April 2013 the Teacher Registration Board is unable to accept further payments of the Annual Fee for 2013.
Teachers whose registration had a financial expiry date of 31st December 2012 who wish to teach in the Northern Territory in 2013 will need to submit a new application for registration using either form A or form B.

The 2013 annual payment of registration fee form is now available for teachers with a financial expiry of 31 December 2012 who will be teaching in the Northern Territory in 2013.

LTEWS – Survey 09 Oct 2012
All teachers who graduated in 2011 are invited to join with a Deakin University led team to investigate early career progression into teaching. Through online surveys, the Longitudinal Teacher Education Workforce Study (LTEWS) project is seeking feedback on the relevance and effectiveness of teacher education for teaching employment. Survey responses will inform policy and programs by leading to a better understanding of the experiences of graduate teachers in their first years of work. Participate now and be in the draw to win an iPad 3 (32GB, WiFi). The survey is part of an 18 month longitudinal study being conducted by Deakin University on behalf of the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

TRB relocation 19 Jul 2012
The Office of the Teacher Registration Board is moving office next Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 July. As a result of the move, there will be interruptions to communication services such as phone calls and email. We will also have limited access to our database whilst moving. We will be endeavouring to continue to provide a quality service to you whilst we move and settle into the new office. We appreciate your anticipated understanding over the course of Week 1 Term 3. The Office of the Teacher Registration Board will remain on the 2nd floor of Harbour View Plaza, but will be at the opposite end of Level Two.

Longitudinal Teacher Education Workforce Study 17 May 2012

TRB online payment system  31 Jan 2012
The TRB is experiencing some issues with the online payment system given the sheer volume of people trying to pay online. There are also issues with the large number of phone calls coming in from people trying to pay via phone. The small TRB team is working very hard to ensure everyone is registered. Any teachers who need to pay their fee to be compliant with the TRB’s requirements are asked to use the hard copy form and scan or fax back to the office. The email address is trb@nt.gov.au or fax: (08) 89994195. In the first instance, teachers should use the online database to check their compliance.

National Standards for Initial Teacher Education Programs 20 Dec 2011
The Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs (MCEEDCYA) met on 15th April 2011 and approved the Standards and Procedures for the Accreditation of Initial Teacher Education Programs in Australia.

Provisional Registration information sessions 16 Dec 2011
Provisional Registration information sessions are available during March 2011 to provisionally registered teachers for the purpose of understanding the requirements of Provisional Registration in the Territory.

Annual registration fee 16 Dec 2011
Teachers whose registration expired on 31 December 2010 are reminded that they need to pay their annual payment fee before they resume teaching in 2011, see the Payment of annual registration fee page for details. To check that your payment has been received and your registration is now current, visit the TRB online register. Allow approximately four weeks for the receipt your new registration card. Should your principal request verification of your registration status, you are able to provide them with a copy from the online register.

Office closure notice 16 Dec 2011
The Office of the Teacher Registration Board will be closed from Wednesday 29 December to Friday 31 December. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday 4 January 2011.
