For Principals or Delegates

When a teacher applies for certification as a Highly Accomplished (HA) or Lead teacher, the Principal or delegate may be asked to:
  1. Participate in a professional discussion with the applicant regarding their readiness to apply for certification and the selection of career stage (HA or lead) based on previous 2-3 years performance review discussions, classroom practice and contributions to the school.
  2. Be a referee and provide evaluative statements against the relevant and specific focus areas of the standards demonstrated of which they have direct knowledge of the applicant’s practice
  3. Undertake observation of the teacher’s practice and provide a written report.
